Spending the day with Allyson + Travis' photographing their Historic Smithonia Farm wedding confirmed just why I am a wedding photographer.
It was a testament of the kind to love that is everlasting. The spirit-filled, tingly-goosebump kind. I can confidently say that it was character building for me as an artist and business woman.. mainly because the day was so God honoring and prayerful. Sometimes in my efforts to "cast a larger net" with my photography audience, I don't fully explain where all these photographic juices come from.. but let me just tell you.
I am not ashamed of the gospel. It is the center of who I am and what I do.
When Allyson, Travis and I joined hands to ask God to stop the rain so we could take a few outdoor portraits, I silently cheered. My heart soared with thanksgiving that I could experience this with my two new friends (who also happened to have been World Race missionaries too).
The rain stopped with just enough time to get in a few portraits pre-ceremony (as you'll see below). None of us were surprised -- just grinning widely at God's faithfulness.
Here is a wedding that I am oh-so proud of.. coming straight from the heart.
